Stop the Cuts
The budget reconciliation bill, gutting Medicaid, providing more tax cuts geared to the rich, and blowing up our deficit was jammed through the House last week. Now, it heads to the Senate, where it needs only a majority to pass. The bill also contains language which would neuter the courts, making it almost impossible to hold the Trump Administration in contempt, one of our last lines of defense to prevent the concentration of power in the Executive. Understand the implications of the budget bill and take action to fight back. Check out Indivisible.org for actions YOU can take!

Protest Avelo
Avelo Airlines has been named the preferred carrier for deportation flights. We have a unique opportunity in Delaware to protest Avelo given they are the only commercial carrier flying out of Wilmington Airport. There will be a protest Saturday, 5/31 at 11:00am at Wilmington Airport. Can’t be there in person? Email Andrew Levy, the CEO of Avelo Airlines: Alevy@aveloair.com.
Beach Traffic Brigade
Join the Beach Traffic Brigade! We are part of a nationally coordinated campaign this weekend: DE FIGHTS FASCISM! Indivisible Newark is now joining ICD and 302United for summer long beach traffic messaging during rush hour on Fridays. Want to be a part of this statewide protest? All you need to do is show up to wave to drivers!
Delaware Voting Rights Legislation
All three voting rights constitutional amendments passed out of Committee last week. We will let you know when they are scheduled on the floor. SS1 for SB3 allows no excuse absentee voting, SS1 for SB2 codifies early in-person voting, and HB180 expands the rights of felons to vote after completion of prison time. Please reach out to your local reps to express support for these bills, especially if you have a Republican rep. As first legs of constitutional amendments, some Republican support will be needed.
Who is my Rep? How do I contact them? HERE is everything you need.
Also, Indivisible Newark has a wonderful legislation summary, which is a great resource. Find it HERE.
